Edges is a performance ensemble for young activists aged 15-30. The ensemble is greatly influenced by the work of Brasilian artist/theorist Augusto Boal, German playwright/performance theorist Bertolt Brecht and Brasilian Educator Paulo Freire. The ensemble creates performances as dialogues with the audience around issues of social justice and human rights. They hope to create performances that can serve as spaces for audiences to experiment with strategies for social reform and political liberation.
